Nanzan University is hosting a 3-week study tour this summer which helps you to explore Japanese cultures and society through the lens of anime. This study tour offers 30 contact hours equivalent（*No credits are given）including lectures about Japanese anime in English and 2 field trips to visit anime-related places in central Japan and plenty of free time for you and Nanzan Anime Study buddies to experience a real Japan together!

• University and college undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in learning Japan thorough this course.
• Possessing English level for higher education is required.

• Maximum 20 students

  *If the number of applicants exceed the capacity above, selection will be held based on a first come , first serve basis.

• Confirmed students will receive an invoice to pay the fees amount above on April 20th（Payment is due on April 30, 2023. Those who are not confirmed payment by the due will be automatically cancelled.）
• The fees include:
  
  • Hotel 19 nights（with 19 breakfasts）at Toyoko Inn Kanayama
  • Inbound Insurance
  • A Rented Wi-Fi Router
  • 2 Field Trip Transportation（meals and entrance fees are NOT included）

Cancellation Table

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in undergraduate/associate or graduate programs as of July, 2023
• Applicants are required to submit the university/college OFFICIAL transcript including the latest semester grades.
• Applicants must possess valid travel documents（passport of at least 6 months validity）as of July, 2023

• Official Transcript issued by your university / college. This should contain all the grades including the latest semester of your enrollment period.
• A scanned copy of valid passport

• This course consists of 10 times of lectures , final presentations, and 3 field trips related to Anime or experiencing Japanese culture, totally 30 contact hours equivalent.
• No credits are awarded, but the students attended all the classes will be given a Certificate of Attendance including class hours.
• All course materials will be provided for students who are confirmed payment.

Course Description

• We are going to offer two field trips and a Ghibli Park excursion during your stay. The details will be coming soon

Field Trips

• We will hold a welcome party planned by Nanzan students on the first day,
• You will have buddies called “Anime Study Buddy” of Nanzan students while participating this tour. You will enjoy time with local students to experience a real life in Japan, go short trips, etc.
