The Graduate Program of Data Science meets the needs of society in terms of fostering human resources in an area that combines mathematical technology and artificial intelligence technology. To achieve this objective, in addition to statistics and operations research, the Program facilitates mastery of artificial intelligence and big data analysis technology, for which demand has dramatically increased in recent years. Having understood the features of each area of mathematical technology, the Graduate Program of Data Science applies these technologies appropriately to foster people who can identify and solve problems.
Features of the Program
Based on the mathematical knowledge at the core of the technologies that make up data science, the curriculum comprises statistics, operations research and artificial intelligence technology. Different from what is referred to in the humanities as data science education, the Graduate Program provides an education in mathematical technology that can be applied in all fields and fosters the ability to employ this in a range of fields and technologies.
