When choosing Nanzan University, I carefully considered both the environment and the academic reputation of the region. I decided to study in Nagoya because it is known for being a comfortable and convenient city for students. The cost of living is reasonable, the city is safe, and the balance between urban convenience and a calm lifestyle makes it an ideal place for studying. In addition, the Chubu Region has a strong and positive reputation in fields related to business and economics, especially in the manufacturing industry. The fact that Nanzan University offered a 50% discount on tuition fees for international students with a Student status of residence was also a significant factor, as it greatly eased the financial burden and made it possible for me to focus more on my studies.
Since entering university, I have been working hard on both my coursework and the acquisition of practical skills. At the moment, I am studying for qualifications such as the Bookkeeping Certification and the IT Passport. I believe they will help me build a solid foundation in financial literacy as well as basic IT knowledge—skills that are increasingly essential in today’s business environment. Studying for these certifications outside of regular classes has been challenging, especially while balancing a part-time job, but I feel that the effort is worthwhile for my long-term goals.
Academically, I am particularly interested in finance. As I progress into the higher years of university, I plan to join a seminar where I can study finance more deeply, focusing on areas such as investment, corporate finance, and risk management. Finance plays a critical role in driving business decisions and shaping economic growth, and I want to understand how financial strategies can influence both companies and society. I hope that specialized study through seminars and research will help me develop analytical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
Although my university life has been busier than I expected, especially with the combination of classes and part-time work, I am grateful that I have been able to create an environment where I can keep learning.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue working hard to improve both my academic performance and my professional qualifications. Ultimately, I aim to join a leading company—a place where innovation, professionalism, and high performance are valued. I hope to contribute to such a company by applying the knowledge and skills I have gained, especially in the field of finance. With the support of my professors, friends from various countries, and the opportunities provided at my university, I am committed to making the most of my student life and preparing myself for a successful career in the future.
私が南山大学を選んだ際、地域の環境と学術的評価の両面を慎重に検討しました。名古屋で学ぶことに決めたのは、学生にとって快適で便利な都市として知られているからです。生活費はリーズナブルで、街は安全で、都会の便利さと落ち着いた居住環境のバランスが取れているところが学業に励む上で理想的だと思いました。さらに、中部地方は、ものづくり産業をはじめしたビジネスや経済の分野でも強みがあります。そして南山大学が在留資格が「留学」の外国人留学生に50％の授業料減免を適用していることも、経済的負担を抑えて学業に集中できるため南山大学を選ぶ大きな理由になりました。
入学後は、授業の学びと実践的なスキルの習得の両方に力を入れてきました。現在は、簿記検定やITパスポートの資格取得に向けて勉強しています。これらの資格は、金融リテラシーや基本的なIT知識など、今日のビジネスにおいてますます必要不可欠になっているスキルの基礎を身につけるのに役立つと思います。通常の授業に加えてこれらの資格勉強をすることは、特にアルバイトと両立させながらで大変ですが、長期的な目標を達成するためには価値のある努力だと感じています。
学業面では、特に金融分野に関心を持っています。より上の学年に進級したら、投資やコーポレート・ファイナンス、リスク管理など、金融をより深く学べるゼミに入りたいと考えています。金融は経営判断や経済成長において重要な役割を担っており、金融戦略が企業や社会にどのような影響を与えるのかを理解したいと考えています。ゼミや研究を通して専門的に学ぶことで、分析的思考や実践的な問題解決能力を身につけたいと思っています。授業とアルバイトの両立など、大学生活は想像以上に忙しいですが、学びを続けられる今の環境に感謝しています。
今後については、引き続き学業と資格勉強に励み、卒業後は、革新性や専門性、優れた実績が重視されるようなリーディングカンパニーで働き、特に金融の分野で、知識やスキルを活かして貢献したいと考えています。先生方、様々な国から来ている友人たちに支えられながら、そして大学で提供される機会を活用しながら、私はこの学生生活を最大限に充実させ、将来すばらしいキャリアを築けるよう準備していきます。
