October 02, 2026
The ASEACCU Annual Conference has been hosted each year since 1993 by its member Universities. This year, from August 18th to 21st, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta and Universitas Sanata Dharma in Indonesia hosted the 32nd Annual Conference and the Student Program. Representing 12 countries and regions, about 90 students, including two from Nanzan University, gathered in Yogyakarta, Indonesia to share ideas and discuss this year's theme:
"Education, Hope, and Human Flourishing: Fostering Intercultural Encounter and Dialogue."
This year's Conference explored the role of Catholic higher education in fostering the flourishing of individuals and communities through education, hope, intercultural encounter and dialogue. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, student activities and spiritual and cultural programmes, participants exchanged perspectives and experiences while strengthening connections among ASEACCU member institutions.
Reports submitted by the two students representing Nanzan University are introduced below:
Sakura YOSHINO, 4th year student in the Department of British and American Studies
