2023 ASEACCU (Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities) Student Conference – Students' Reports

The ASEACCU Annual Conference has been hosted each year since 1993 by its member Universities. This year, from August 21st to 26th, Saint Louis University in Philippines hosted the 29th Annual Conference and the Student Program. Representing 9 countries, more than 72 students, including two from Nanzan University, gathered in Baguio City to share ideas and discuss this year's theme: "Global Goals in the Care of Our Common Home: A Catholic Response".

The Annual Conference featured a series of lectures and student activities within the context of the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Conference theme and program provided opportunities for discussion and consideration of significant topics such as "Laudato Si" and "Climate Action". Each group discussed and presented on climate action, something which each and every one of us should think deeply about and take action on in our own countries after returning home.

Throughout the program, students had opportunities to learn from religious leaders, share ideas and discuss issues with other students from different backgrounds. Most importantly, they were able to build lasting friendships with people from many different countries.
