[ Venue ] Conference Room A, 5F, Midland Hall
[ Speaker ] Tomoko Inoue (Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics, Nanzan University)
[ Topic ] Environment and economics by the numbers
[ Description ] During this talk we will examine various intersections of environmental data such as carbon emissions and economic data such as GDP.
Rather than view environmental and economic factors independently, putting them together and comparing data from nations worldwide gives context so we can gain insight into differences between countries, the underlying trends and changes over time, and Japan’s relative position in the world. Let us take time to consider these dynamics and what they say about where we are headed.
