Institute for Social Ethics Colloquium #3, 2013

April 24, 2013

Interest in communitarianism has grown in the wake of the stimulating Harvard lessons of Michel Sandel.

This interest can be seen in the recent publication of “The Frontier of Communitarianism” (Keiso Shobo) which outlines the latest developments and new debates related to areas including environmentalism, social programs, education, and journalism, as well as the connection between these topics and perspectives in Japan.

During this colloquium, editor Masaya Kobayashi has been invited to share an overview of this work, his theoretical approach and the new points of debate regarding families and children.
