Radiation surveys at Orchid Island, Taiwan and political balance

Surveys of environmental radiation were conducted in September and November 2012 on Taiwan’s southern Orchid Island.
With the discovery of a “hot spot”, the survey very quickly took on a political bent, with unprecedented attention around the case in aspects touching mass-media, NGOs and governmental groups.
I would like to consider new directions for developing future research, anthropology and regional research based around this event.

Discoveries during cultural survey with the transition of the S zone

We will consider the work of the cultural surveyor and the reception of the survey by the residents during cultural surveys conducted as part of the transition of the S zone of Nara Prefecture’s Yoshino District and whether the dam construction lead to the transformation of a region or the destruction of a local community.
