[ Theme ] A sociolinguistic look at language use in human relationships:
Welfare Linguistics Rising
[ Summary ] Sociolinguistics is the study of the way language is used in society. It should come as no surprise then that research questioning the state of language used in relationships between people is related, as it would be difficult to consider society without considering the underlying human relationships.
Conventional research covering excerpted language materials often confined itself to the study of language for its own sake.
For the last several years, there has been a current towards study termed, “Welfare Linguistics”.
While taking advantage of methods including profiling and regularity analysis of the application of words starting from the living interaction of words found in human relationships, this research is characterized by its emphasis on reconstructing the “locale” of the knowledge gained through analysis.
During this time I would like to share these trend and new direction with specific examples of the research.
