Graduate Program in Policy Studies

Whereas modern science analyzes matters from a purely analytical perspective, students in the Graduate Program in Policy Studies in Policy Studies learn how to integrate fragmented pieces of knowledge from an interdisciplinary perspective. In doing so, students become able to identify and solve problems faced by our increasingly complicated modern society. Based on this philosophy, the Graduate Program in Policy Studies offers graduate students the opportunity to combine theoretical approaches with practical policy-making skills.

Features of the Department

The program offers the MA and Ph.D. in two research areas: international public policy and public policy. Faculty members are active in theoretical and applied research in global and regional environmental issues, regional integration, local public administration, and international cooperation. In addition to traditional coursework that emphasizes research using theoretical literature, lectures presented by practicing administrators allow students the opportunity to learn about actual policies in practice. The program offers evening and Saturday courses to meet the needs of working adult graduate students.
