Based on the tenets of software engineering and computing science, the Department of Software Engineering provides students with a comprehensive grounding in software development and information processing. As society becomes increasingly dependent on various information systems, the Department looks to foster advanced engineers and leaders in the ICT(Information Communication Technology)market equipped with the necessary practical and applied skills to support information society in the future.

Features of the Department

Each students is provided with a laptop computer, which can be connected to any one of 6,000 access points across the campus.
The study and research of software engineering involves a multidisciplinary approach to the acquisition of skills in the fields of software development, project management and systems engineering.
Many of the courses are practically-oriented, with a hands-on approach to things such as assembling and setting up computers. Through small class sizes for our courses and seminars, we encourage the cultivation of practical ability, the practical application of knowledge, and individual creativity in software engineering.
