Supawadee Borisutwanitchon

A former student who took part in “Face to Face Meeting with Senpai” was Kate Borisutwanitchon. We call her “Kate” because Thai names are really long and difficult to remember, so short nickname such as Kate are a great help.
Kate is a commercial affairs officer at the Thai Trade Center run by the Thai government in Osaka. Her job is to act as an intermediary in business talks held to decide if a Thai product is to be imported to Japan. In the course of their conversation, we found out that Leimei Julia Chiu happens to be involved in the design of imported goods. It’s certainly a small world, and it’s great to know that former CJS students are linking up like this out there. In Japanese we would describe that “Goen,” or being linked by fate.
I heard from Chizuko Kojima that Kate is working in Osaka. Kojima-san is in charge of Kojima International Residence, the boarding facility for foreign students that Kate stayed in when she was at CJS. She came along to “Face to Face Meeting with Senpai” to catch up with some of the former students.
