Alumni Network Message from Alumni Association

E-Newsletter for International Students

Happy New Year to you all!
We sincerely hope that 2009 is a happy and prosperous year for all of our alumni.

This year’s Spring Semester commences on 9 January, with a total of 135 students from 22 countries enrolled. CJS students will again be doing their best in their studies.

Alumni meetings for former students who have returned to their own countries are called Nanzankai, and have been held in the six regions of Bangkok, Bali, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai and Xining. The number of people at each meeting is still not very large, but there is no doubting the fact that those who attend have a good time enjoying each other’s company. This year there are plans to hold an alumni gathering in the United States, where the largest number of former CJS students reside. From 24 May, a meeting of the American NAFSA Association of International Educators will be held in Los Angeles, so there are plans to make the most of this to create an opportunity for former Nanzan students to get together. Once arrangements have been finalized we will provide the details in our next newsletter and through the newsletters of each of the universities with which we have exchange.
