【Bangkok, Thailand】ASEACCU General Conference & Students Conference

August 26-28, 2010

From 26 to 28 August the ASEACCU 18th General Conference & the 12th Students Camp was held at Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand. Nanzan University was represented by its president, Michael Calmano, S.V.D., who also served as the ASEACCU executive secretary, and University vice-president, Noboru Kinoshita, as well as two students. The main theme of "Caring in Truth - Catholic Perspective on Challenges in Education" was discussed at both the General Conference and the Student Camp. In the latter gathering, "Caring in Truth - Catholic Perspective on Challenges in Education," which might at first seem to be a rather abstract topic, was discussed in depth by each of the student groups, who then presented their own distinctive views on the topic. Reports from the two students who attended are attached.
