Representatives of universities in Asia established by the Catholic Society of the Divine Word gathered to discuss how to further strengthen links. Michael Calmano,S.V.D. attended in his role as president of Nanzan University, which was established by the Society of the Divine Word. The venue for this year's meeting was provided by the Holy Name University, with which the Nanzan Junior College established an academic program called "International Cooperation Volunteer Fieldwork" from April 2011. From now, the links between each of the universities are expected to become even stronger.

In addition, President of Nanzan University, Michael Calmano,S.V.D. found time in his schedule during this business trip to attend a Manila Nanzankai for alumni of Nanzan University.
