The annual conference and student discussions of the Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities(ASEACCU), for which President of Nanzan University, Michael Calmano,S.V.D., serves as executive secretary, was held in Sydney. Nanzan was represented by its president, Michael Calmano, and Noboru Kinoshita, vice-president for international affairs, in addition to two students selected to participate after passing an interview examination. The conference featured lively discussion with students from all over Asia on the topic of “Building a Culture of Life: Catholic Higher Education and the Challenges of Bioethics.”
