My long term research topics are as varied as my interests. On labor migration, I am looking into the profile of Filipinos (both legal and illegal) living and working in Japan. There are so many topics possible on area alone.
Since my involvement in Asian Value Studies, I have been looking into the Japanese work values. Of interest is how values are affected ? if they are, by economic downturns. We have privately published a manuscript on this one.
As a missionary, I am also interested on religious values of Nanzan students. I am still working on the summary of three years of study on Nanzan students. Hopefully, I can get this data out soon.

This year, I am looking into the status of Filipino-Japanese marriages with a special focus on Catholic marriages. With a predominantly Catholic population, I focus on how the Catholic church does takes care of Filipinos married to Japanese nationals.
