My research involves all aspects of foreign language education, with special emphasis on the teaching of Spanish to Japanese uiversity students. I am particularly interested in foreign language teaching methodology, curriculum development and evaluation.

I am currently conducting research on the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE), the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: learning, teaching and assessment.
